On the other hand, I am a rabid Dethklok fan.

The love began like any other relationship would, on a couch in the middle of the night. I was watching Adult Swim, since Benjamin (my 4 year old, who also loves Dethklok’s music) had already gone to bed and Cartoon Network was still on the television. It was August 4th, and I heard the intro to the show Metalocalypse. It got my attention and I watched in amazement.

I continued to watch…obsessively. I programmed my DVR to record every new episode of Metalocalypse and would come home from work eagerly to catch up with the new episode.

When the Dethalbum came out, I bought it. When the Season One DVD came out, I bought it. When I first heard about the possibility of a Dethklok comic book coming out, I jotted the note ever so carefully on my Moleskine and waited eagerly for some sort of news to come out. Yes, when Dethklok versus The Goon came out, I bought it too.

I didn’t get to see Dethklok on tour the first time around. I would have quit work to go, which in retrospect, I should have done since at that point I was working for a nameless, douchebag company.

So now, this last half of 2009 is going to be completely exhilarating for me. This is the lineup of awesomeness due this Fall, directly from Dethklok.org:

I just went to Ticketmaster and found out that tickets to the Las Cruces, NM gig are only $27! Texted my buddy Jose about it, and plans are pretty much concrete that were going together. AWESOME!

Puttered around Google a bit and found this review on the DETHGAME.

Below is a video of the actual game play. It does look a little blockish, but I’m hoping maybe things will smooth out before its release. The game will also include a band level where you can use the Rock Band guitars to rock out Dethklok tunes. (!!!)
