El Paso is my birthplace but as is evident in the last 3 years, I have been a resident of Clovis, NM until earlier this year. Now that I’m back home and am at an age where I can drink to my hearts desire, I’ve been pretty open minded to the various venues around the city.

Friday night would be the first time I land at Bombardiers which is ironic since I actually live right across the street from this place. Once inside I am taken back to what would have been a grunge pub in Seattle back when rock and grunge were THE music to listen to. Every inch of the walls are covered with graffiti and posters from the undeniably colorful slew past of performers. Despite the smaller lower level, the bar exudes an air of absolute chill, complete with a dart board, foosball and pool table.

The purpose of my visit to Bombardiers was to watch Diluted Thought perform between sets. If you haven’t heard of Diluted Thought, take a listen to some samples below and follow him on Twitter.

  • Diluted Thought – SMC (Prod. by Metafisix)
  • Diluted Thought – Hurt (Prod. by St. Peezy)

Headliners were Voyeur and Alodex. Other great bands performing that night were So Unloved an all-girl band from San Antonio, Aftermath and Scordatura Vita.  Check out the video below for a shot of Voyeur performing on stage.
