I am getting ready to start a little mini series on my blog about the Prophesies of the Mayans. When I start it, I’ll start out with a primer, then an in-depth analysis of each of the proposed prophesies. I won’t be doing this all at once, or even consecutively, but if you’d like to keep up with the posts please feel free to subscribe or click on the ‘2012’ label on the left hand pane when you visit in the future.

So on to the topic at hand: Annunaki, which aren’t directly in relation to the Mayan prophesies, but do go hand in hand for the most part.

I watched ‘Cowboy’s and Aliens‘ on opening day with my close friend, Mars. When the movie was done I couldn’t stop yammering about the obvious tie in with the myth of the Annunaki. In the movie, there are aliens who invade a part of Earth that was evidently teeming with gold deposits and these Aliens are desperate for the stuff.

{A Quick Annunaki Primer}

The Annunaki I am referring to are the ancient Sumerian gods who were believed to have come from the Sky. Further more, it is speculated that these ‘gods’ were in fact beings from another world who came to earth to mine for gold.

The Annunaki needed gold because their atmosphere required it. At that time, the Annunaki found themselves in a position that we find ourselves in today: a deteriorating planet, ozone depleting, their planet polluted.

When the Annunaki found Earth, not only had they found a planet with nearly inexhaustible gold ores, but also had found workers that could do the hard labor for them: what we know as Neanderthal Man.  Unfortunately, Neanderthal Man was a physically powerful creature but without wits, knowledge or the capability to follow orders.

This is where the Sumerian Creation myth starts: they believed that these ‘gods’, mixed their blood with the man of Earth and from this union, modern man sprang forth. If this myth were actual fact, then it would certainly explain that pesky ‘missing link’ wouldn’t it?

The resulting Modern Man was able to follow orders, able to worship, able to think for itself and able to learn. Thus was founded the civilization of Sumer.

{Some thoughts about Gold and whether this myth is feasible}

Here on Earth, we see Gold as valuable in a different sense. It is either ornamental or a form of payment or even a combination of both. Gold has held our interest in a variety of different ways throughout the ages, from the age old science of Alchemy to the more recent Gold Rush of the West.

However, just last year, scientists accidentally broke a Law of Nature called ‘Parity’ at the Brookhaven National Laboratory and these were their results:

When the gold nuclei, traveling at 99.999% of the speed of light, smashed together, the plasma that resulted was so energetic that a tiny cube of it with sides measuring about a quarter of the width of a human hair would contain enough energy to power the entire United States for a year.

It’s rather sad we are barely making these discoveries but better late than never, I suppose. What I find fascinating is that if these Annunaki indeed were using the Gold to sustain their atmosphere or to power their planet, they were advanced beyond anything we could possibly imagine right now.

Hell, they had space ships to carry them out here on a mining expedition, should this myth be real.

{2012}

Before I end the post, I thought I’d touch on a side myth, or rather a common murmuring among certain circles. It is believed that throughout these millenia, a few Annunaki stayed behind to oversee the development of their created slaves. Once their Annunaki brethren come to pick them up, sometime in 2012, their progress report of humankind will either make us or break us.

I personally believe that if this Annunaki myth is real, it would explain a lot. Then again, that’s what myths are for: to explain the unknown.

Et tu? What do you think?
