This post is obviously long due, however I wanted to make sure I knew what I wanted to do before I actually posted something that I knew I wouldn’t do. Here are my goals for 2009:

1. Rehabilitate my knee. I have been needing a second ACL surgery on my left knee for quite sometime now, and I haven’t gotten it becase a) unamployment doesnt come with health insurance and b)I’m not young enough to have Medicaid. Now that I have NTCA through my employer, I am taking advantage of that and getting my whole body fixed for now.

2. Redecorate home. I want to get down and paint the entire house a sand ‘Santa Fe’ color…I’m tired of white walls. I have already rearranged Benjamin’s room and added some more posters and it has made quite a difference!

3. Lose Substantial Weight. I definetly need to rehabilitate my knee first, but after the physical therapy is over anf my knee has healed, I want to hire a personal trainer for a couple of months and get my weight down to 150 or 160 for now.

4. Participate in Art Competitions. If there is one aspect of my life that I have been neglecting severely is my art. I have discovered through the internet that there are THOUSANDS of art competitions, open to anyone with a creative flair. I think that money is a big motivator here, and will encourage me to take up painting again.

5. Work Toward Joining the Navy Reserves. Again, another goal that rides on the ability for me to rehabilitate my knee. I have searched long and hard for the requirements for the reserves, and I think I’d be a great candidate. I would actually love to join the Navy rather than the reserves, but I don’t think you can join if you’ve got screws in your knee.

6. STAY FASHIONABLE! This is very important to me. I need to stay in Vogue and freshly dressed…or my name isn’t Crysti Couture!
